Frank C. Johnson was a Cincinnati fan, beginning in the 1960s. He was a member of the CFG and a regular attender of Midwestcon (1968–2018) and other conventions and Worldcons. He was a film lover.
In mundane life, he was a radio disc jockey, beginning as manager of his college radio station. In his career, he first played rock music and later pop and jazz, then spent more than 20 years as host of a classical music show on public radio station WGUC.
He died of cancer.
