Star Base Andromeda is Lincoln, Nebraska's longest-running science fiction, fantasy, horror and action/adventure club. It was officially founded, after some informal activities in previous months, on Febuary 7, 1974 as Lincoln's "City-Wide Star Trek Club: Star Base Andromeda" (reportedly third after the Star Trek Fan Club Leminicus and its splinter Quei-Starmerian Network), and soon became a chapter of the Star Trek Association for Revival, but it went on expanding to encompass a wide variety of fannish interests and pasttimes.

Its newsletter was Andromedan Log (first issue "tentatively" titled Dynastar; monthly in the best periods, but with several hiatuses); the last listed issue is #65 from April 2003 (soon after the launch of the club's website), there may have been a few more until 2006. They also published four yearbook clubzines of member's works The Kelvan Outpost between 1975 and 1982.

SBA sponsored Concussion, which grew of its smaller Lincoln cons Andromeda One and Andromeda Two (1994 and 1995).

Club Website 1974
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
