Paul H. Spencer, an American fan of the 1940s, published the apazines Jabberwocky and Janus (with Russ Whitman) for FAPA. He was one of the editors of Kalki in the late 1980s.
While in the Army in World War II, he spent some time visiting the Slan Shack in Battle Creek, MI.
