Site Selection for the 1975 Worldcon was conducted by Torcon 2, the 1973 Worldcon. The bidders were Australia in '75 and LA in '75. Australia won and went on to hold Aussiecon I.
The results:
Bidder | Votes |
---|---|
Australia in '75 | 330 |
LA in '75 | 45 |
Total | 375 |
The mail-in/at-con splits and write-in and other (spoiled, ineligible, etc) votes were not reported, so the totals are undoubtedly low. None-the-less, Australia won handily.
