A Worldcon bid to host the 1969 Worldcon in St. Louis, MO which was sponsored by the Ozark Science Fiction Association.

It was nominated by Harlan Ellison at the 1968 Worldcon's WSFS Business Meeting and won, beating Columbus in '69. See 1968 Worldcon Site Selection.

St. Louis in '69 had been identified with newer, modern fandom while Columbus in '69 had been identified with an older, more political side of fandom open antipathy between the bids was evident. There were unfounded rumors circulated that Columbus in '69 intended to have its own Exclusion Act, banning Ted White from attending.

There is a laudatory writeup of the bid by Hank Luttrell in the August 1968 Science Fiction Times.
