The Newcastle SF Club was a club in Newcastle, UK. It was founded in 1959.

The group's formation was announced in Skyrack #5 (July 1959), where it was described as 'the second new Club to be formed since the Birmingham Convention', the other being the Stourbridge Circle. The new group's members were given as Don Allen, Jim Cawthorn, Mary Munro and Tom Porter. Allen and Cawthorn had both been members of the earlier North East Science Fiction Society and the creation of this new group suggests its predecessor had at least become dormant although it would be periodically revived.

In Northlight #7 (November 1959), Alan Burns reported that 'sad to say Don has evaporated right out of the picture, mainly because he's busy house-decorating'. The three remaining members plus Burns met 'alternate Thursdays in a small pub in town, and the other Thursdays we meet at our place'.

It's unclear how long the group lasted.

Club 1959????
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
