The Newcastle SF Club was a club in Newcastle, UK. It was founded in 1959.
The group's formation was announced in Skyrack #5 (July 1959), where it was described as 'the second new Club to be formed since the Birmingham Convention', the other being the Stourbridge Circle. Don Allen and Jim Cawthorn had both been members of the earlier North East Science Fiction Society and the creation of this new group suggests its predecessor had become dormant by 1959 although it would be periodically revived.

This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.
When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can! |
