(Did you mean 1970s Sunderland fan Jim Marshall?)
(???? – )
Jim Marshall was a UK fan from Gateshead in County Durham active in the 1950s and 1960s, and to a degree into the 1970s. He was a sometime editor of Gestalt, the clubzine of the North East Science Fiction Society. He was a member of the Cytricon in 1955 and attended Cytricon II in 1956.
He is listed in Ron Bennett's Directory of Science Fiction Fandom for 1955–1957, drops out, and then reappears in the 1966 edition, the year he attended the Yarcon, although that was also the year that Ron Bennett in Skyrack #92 (September 1966) was wondering what had happened to him. A Jim Marshall attended SCI-CON 70, the 1970 Eastercon, and circumstantial evidence suggests it was this Jim Marshall rather than the 1970s fan Jim Marshall from nearby Sunderland who was seemingly a different and unrelated person. There are two Jim Marshalls on the membership list for Tynecon, the 1974 Eastercon, so he was probably one of them.
