When LepreCon 44 was rebranded as “Phoenix Sci-Fi & Fantasy Art Expo,” there was Alarm and Despondency in Phoenix, and fans organized CoKoCon in 2018, sponsored by CASFS and WesternSFA, as a new regional convention. The convention's name is a combination of Coppercon (which was sponsored by CASFS) and ConKopelli (which was sponsored by WesternSFA).
