Joel Nydahl, a teenaged fan from Marquette, MI, published Vega and Expose, and was associated with 7th Fandom. He was famed for his 1953 gafiation. See Nydahl's Disease.
He made a brief return to fandom to attend the 2001 Worldcon and was shocked to find out about his fannish fame.
