Utah for 2019 was both a Westercon and a NASFiC bid sponsored by the Utah Fandom Organization. It was announced in April 2017 to as a bid to hold Westercon 72 from July 3–7, 2019, at the Davis Conference Center and nearby hotels in Layton, Utah. (Apparently a barber shop quartet convention has got Salt Lake City on the 4th.) They also announced that if Dublin in 2019 won the Worldcon and a 2019 NASFiC became possible, they would bid for that as well, and would hold a combined Westercon/NASFiC.
The bid was chaired by Ben Hatcher with Vice-Chair Kate Hatcher, and Bid Advisor/Treasurer Dave Doering.
