Billy Dean Cox was a longtime LA fan and member of LASFS, beginning at least by 1948, when E. E. Evans recounted matching half dollars with him in the LASFS clubroom. He co-edited an issue of Shaggy in 1952.
He was a member of Chicon 2, the 1952 Worldcon, and attended Bouchercons as well as sf cons.
His older brother was fellow LASFan and pro Jean Cox.
Bill died in 2009; his last known address was in Chico, California.
