According to one report, Michael S. Hall was a hoax fan created by Winnipeian James A. Hall as his crazier younger brother. According to another, Mike Hall was a real member of DWF living in Edmonton, AB, and unrelated to James Hall.
He was the first recipient of CUFF in 1981, and wrote "The First Canadian Unity Fan Fund Trip Report."
He is deceased. His fanzine collection is at Texas A & M University.
