[Louise] Ruth Sachter is a conrunning fan and club fan born in New York City who now lives in Portland, OR. She is married to fellow fan John Lorentz.
She is a member of OSFiC (and has served as an officer), NESFA, MCFI, and served on the WSFS MPC. She chaired OryCon 18 and Potlatch 16 and for a time was vice-chairman of ConJosé. She was a member of the NY in '86, Worldcon bid as well as several Boston Worldcon bids. She was a member of the committee for the original Star Trek Conventions.
