Dr. Ada Palmer is a Chicago fan, historian and writer. She was a member of Double Star and Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Association. She is a member of the folk/filk groups Trickster and King and Sassafrass.
In mundane life, she is Assistant Professor in the Department of History and the College at the University of Chicago.
