Frank Johnson was a Cincinnati fan, member of the CFG and regular attender of Midwestcon (1968–2018) and other conventions and Worldcons. He was a film lover.
In mundane life, he was a radio disc jockey, beginning as manager of his college radio station. In his career, he first played rock music and later pop and jazz, then more than 20 years as host of a classical music show on public radio station WGUC.
