Ben Zuhl, an American fan, pubbed Ben'Zine. In the 1970s, he lived in Chicago, where he roomed with Phil Foglio and was a member of Thursday. He popularized the Spayed Gerbil, along with Joe Haldeman and Mike Glicksohn.
He contributed to a variety of fanzines, including Mimosa. He appears in the video Faans.
Ben is married to Lowry Taylor and they live in Falls Church, VA.
