Joe Krucher, a pulp artist active beginning in the 1940s, also wrote some fiction as well as articles for monster magazines in the 1960s. Some of his stories were made into radio shows.

He contributed to fanzines, including Scientifantasy.

Krucher studied at Beaux-Arts Institute of Design in New York. He claimed to have become interested in fantasy after seeing the films Dracula and Frankenstein.
