Slanapa is the commonly used name of the Slanderous Amateur Press Association, an apa founded in January 1969 by Bob Vardeman, Frank Denton, Dale Goble, Mike Horvat and Ned Brooks. It is monthly and has no rules or dues. The task of collating and distributing the mailing falls to each member on the roster in turn. The 500th mailing appeared in September 2011, from Jerry Lapidus and as of 2020 it was still active and had passed 600 mailings. It has a rotating OE in which members take on the task in turn.
