With Ben Bova as GoH, for Memorial Day weekend in 1972, Chairman Jay Haldeman moved Disclave from the Shoreham across the street to the Sheraton Park thanks to visions of Discon II sugarplums in the manager's brain. The Sheraton Park was modeled on Gormenghast or perhaps some drawing by Escher. You could walk from the lowest part of the hotel basement to the 8th floor of the Motel. The C-640 Bunker was was the home of the fabled Discave con suite, which allowed Disclave to build its tradition of real hospitality. We stayed there until they tore it down around our ears.
