Ronald Loren Smith was a [[fan]] who grew up in [[LA]] and lived briefly in [[New York]], moving to the [[Bay Area]] in 1958 and in the 60s moving to Australia "to escape the threat of nuclear war."  In New York, they lived an apartment complex nicknamed the [[Idiot's Castle]] with other [[stfnal]] people.
