(Did you mean a different Novacon?)
A convention held November 2–4, 1979, at the Turf Inn in Albany, NY. It was a one-shot (and a bit of a hack) organized by Jan Howard Finder and tied vaguely to the Birmingham, UK, Novacon 9 being held the same days. GoH was Bob Shaw and FGoH was Jack Cohen (both Novacon stalwarts.) Bob Tucker was toastmaster.
To tie in with Novacon, they offered free memberships to people who held passports from the British Isles and served English bheer.
The very popular The Flying Karamazov Brothers jugglers attended and performed, including doing some juggling in crowded halls.
- Brief conrep by Taral in DNQ 24 (November 10, 1979, p. 2).
