Judy Blish (née Judith Ann Lawrence, aka J. A. Lawrence) is an author and artist who contributed to Bruce Pelz’ Fan Tarot Deck. She appeared in the “A Galaxy of Fashion” Show at Tricon, the 1966 Worldcon.
She was the daughter of pulps writers Jack Lawrence and Muriel Cameron Bodkin and the second wife of SF author James Blish, whom she married in 1964; he died in 1975.
Judy moved to Greece in 1976 and still lives there. She wrote The Network Guide to Greece, a now out-of-print book aimed at helping ex-pats settle in Greece. She published The Other Side of the Surface in 2021, a collection which includes a retelling of James Blish's famous story "Surface Tension."
