(September 15, 1865 – April 4, 1959)
Ernest Clement Fezandié was an early American sf writer remembered mainly for his Dr. Hackensaw stories, most of which appeared in Hugo Gernsback's Science and Invention, 1921–26. He also wrote as Henry Hugh Simmons, used for his “Hick's Inventions with a Kick” stories, which appeared in Amazing Stories 1927–28. (Jack Speer claimed that these weren’t science fiction in Fancyclopedia 1, but Gernsback clearly disagreed.)
Fezandié was born in New York and a teacher in public schools there.
