William J. Sarill, a Boston fan active in the 1950s and ’60s, was an early member of The Cult and a “pseudomember” of MITSFS. He contributed to such fanzines as Paul WilliamsWithin, and attended Detention, the 1959 Worldcon, and Baycon, the 1968 Worldcon. He was a friend and briefly a roommate of Philip K. Dick’s, about whom he has written many articles.
