The clubzine of The Inner Ring, a J. R. R. Tolkien club located in St. Lucia, Pullenvale, and Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia. The club's other fanzine was The Ring Bearer which was more scholarly, while Mathom was more creative. Only the early issues were Tolkien-oriented; the later issues seems to have developed into a student fanzine.
