LynC is a Melbourne fan and author, whose single-word name was adopted by a legal formality more stringent than deed poll. She was a candidate in the 1995 GUFF Race. She is a former president of the Australian Science Fiction Foundation, member of ANZAPA, and former member of the Melbourne University Science Fiction Association.
She is in a relationship with James Allen; previously, she was with Clive Newell, with whom she had two children.
