Roger Robinson, a London-based fan and small press publisher, discovered fandom in the 1970s when he joined the City Lit Science Fiction evening class.

He was on the committee for the BECCON conventions in the 1980s, and took the name for Beccon Publications, his small press, which has been publishing since 1981. He is a keen quizzer, member of the City Illiterates, a regular in the book room and used to do auctions at conventions. He is the Research Editor on The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction.
