An American sf writer who lives in New Mexico who has an unusually wide range of styles, including cyberpunk, farce, space opera, alternate history, fantasy and even sea stories and disaster thrillers. His first published sf was Ambassador of Progress in 1984.
In 2006, he founded the Taos Toolbox, a two-week SF writer's workshop.
