Philcon 1983 was a convention held November 18–20, 1983, at the Franklin Plaza Hotel in Philadelphia, PA.
The Principal Speaker was James Hogan, and the Guest Artist was Real Musgrave.
This was in fact the second Philcon in 1983. Following the tradition created in 1977, Philcon 1982.1 was given the year designation of the prior year with the ".1" added to indicate that it took place the following January. There was no Philcon during 1982.
