The Surrey Circle was an sf club in Surrey, UK, in the 1950s. Members included John B. Hall, Colin Parsons, Arthur Thomson and Geoff Wingrove.

Parsons had a letter published in Authentic #34 (June 1953) expressing an interest in forming a club, and #38 (October 1953) had a letter from Wingrove acknowledging Authentic's role in enabling them to meet. They called the group the Surrey Circle.

In early 1954 Thompson and an unnamed sf-reading workmate attended a meeting, by which point the group had eight or nine members.

The group published a fanzine, Fission, with its third and last issue appearing in March 1955, implying the group lasted at least that long.

This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
