Smoke was a fanzine published by George Locke from 1959 to 1963, first in London and from #4 in Hindhead, Surrey. Its sixth and final issue was distributed with OMPA.
Terry Carr reviewed its first issue in Fanac #42 (August 18, 1959, p. 3):
an APORRHETA kind of fanzine without Sanderson’s famed Fan Diary. But it does have a column by Vin¢ Clarke, and that’s fi-i-i-ine.
Smoke placed sixth in the 'best British fanzine' category of the 1959 Skyrack Poll and third in 1960.
There was a hoax 1966 issue which reviewed a hoax book, Red Letter Day, by Walt Willis (online here).
