S. Johnstone was a fan from Barnsley, active in the 1930s. He was the director of Chapter 37 of the Science Fiction League and was trumpeted in Novae Terrae as one of the prospective attendees at the 1937 Leeds Convention. However despite being relatively local – Barnsley is about 24 miles from Leeds – he seemingly wasn't present. He was later a member of the Science Fiction Association.
