Panac
Panac was a 4-page, one-shot fanzine published on April 1, 1960 as by 'Ron Carr and Terry Lick'. It was a parody of Fanac, numbered 99, and cited Ron Ellik's address. The British Fanzine Bibliography identifies the true author as George Locke although the source for this information is unknown.
In Fanac #56 (April 19, 1960), Carr and Ellik said they suspected Ron Bennett on the strength of a postmark from Valrico, Florida where Bennett was known to have an associate. Confusingly, there was also a hoax issue of Fanac published on April 1, 1960. It purported to be Fanac #55 and on the final page Les Gerber and Andy Reiss were identified as the perpetrators. A genuine Fanac #55 had been published two days earlier and was dittoed whereas the Gerber/Reiss version was duplicated.
