This convention, also called Nudlecon (but probably not by its promoters) was held June 2-5, 1977 at the Marriott Hotel in Tucson, AZ. It seems to have been another attempt to create a giant commercial or semi-commercial convention. It listed many guests (though it did not have a GoH, as such), including Poul Anderson, Robert Bloch, Lin Carter, Roger Corman, Harlan Ellison, Robert Heinlein, Fred Pohl, A. E. van Vogt, Jack Williamson, and etc. Many Mundanes such as Pete Conrad, Carl Sagan, Buster Crabbe and Johnny Weissmuller were also there as were many media types.
They had planned for 5000 attendees, but fewer than 1000 showed up, landing the committee with a loss estimated to be between $40K and $80K.
