Midwestcon 29 was held June 23-25, 1978 at the Holiday Inn North in Cincinnati, OH. Attendance was about 500.
Bill Bowers used Midwestcon to practice for his Iguanacon FGoH speech. (It apparently wasn't the same speech he planned to deliver at Iggy.) Nonetheless, Harlan Ellison (the other Iggy GoH) had a reply to Bowers which was read for him by Mike Glicksohn.
