(May 24, 1912 – December 5, 1984)
John Obus “Jack” McKnight, a long-time Philadelphia fan, found fandom after WW II and was active in the PSFS for his entire fannish life. In his mundane life, he was a machinist — he machined the trophies for the first Hugo Awards which were given out at Philcon II, the 1952 Worldcon in Philadelphia. He spent most of the convention working on the awards and missed nearly all of it.
