A facility founded by Andre Norton near Norton's home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and named after a locale in her Witch World series. It was a research facility for genre writers, and scholars of "popular" literature (science fiction, fantasy, mystery, western, romance, gothic, and horror). It had a library of more than ten thousand books and videos and featured three guest rooms for visiting writers.

It opened in February 1999, and closed in March 2004 due to Norton's declining health.
