(???? – )

Harry Gilbert was a fan from Manchester active in the 1960s. He joined the BSFA and attended the BSFA Convention, 1960 where according to Archie Mercer writing in Cactus#5 he "was I'm pretty safe in saying the youngest paid attendee". He later contributed a story to Vector 11 (Spring 1961) and was listed as a member of Ronvention, the 1962 Eastercon.

He is listed in Ron Bennett's Directory of Science Fiction Fandom for 1962 but not earlier or later iterations.

There is a listing for Harry Gilbert at ISFDB. This give a date of birth of January 18, 1946 – which would make him 14 in 1960 so not inconsistent with him being the youngest paid attendee – but also says he was born in Ontario, Canada. They list the Vector story and other works from 1981 onward. It's possible, then, that they are conflating two people called Harry Gilbert.
