Halliford House Newsletter was a fanzine published by Diane and John Bangsund from 1969. As well as listings books for sale, it offered typing, duplicating and mailing services and details of other Bangsund publications.
The first issue explained:
Thomas Love Peacock would probably not be amused to learn that we have appropriated the name of his residence as a title for something as sordid and commercial as a mail-order book business (among other things), and probably furious to learn the nature of the books which this business will be dealing in - namely science fiction and fantasy. Still, he’s not around to know, and there’s just a slight chance that he might have regarded it as a somewhat back-handed compliment.
In his bibliography in Philosophical Gas #50 (November 1979), Bangsund said that he thought there were four issues. So far we only have details of one of them.
