Donald J. Walsh (Don) author of "Mu Panther" (Worlds of If 1967 10). Youngest member of the SFWA at that time.

1st president of the New Orleans Science Fiction Association.

The character in a couple of Roger Zelazny stories was based on Don.

He was the "host" of the Nebula Awards Banquet (central) of 1969, 1970 and 1971. The Banquets were held in three locations at that time (east coast, west cost and central) allowing SFWA members to gather regionally if they couldn't make the main site.

Don was one of the connections to a group of fans associated with Rosel George Brown and Tulane University that had held one or more Con-sola-cons for locals that were unable to make it to Worldcon in the early 1960s.
