(???? –)
A. J. Savage was a UK fan from London active in the early 1950s. He was the secretary of an organisation called the BSFA, a group which at one point claimed nearly 200 members while existing outside the awareness of wider fandom. It predated and was unrelated to the current BSFA which wasn't formed until 1958,
A leaflet received by fan John Gutteridge identified Savage as the BSFA's secretary. However, the Association seemed rather haphazard about answering correspondence. After being the subject of a degree of fannish curiosity around 1951–2 the Association was not heard from again. And neither was Mr Savage.
