The 1955 Best Professional Magazine Hugo was presented September 4 at the Clevention. This second year of the Hugos there was again no shortlist of nominees. The winner was chosen by a vote of the members.
Winner: Astounding Science Fiction ed. by John W. Campbell, Jr..
According to Fred Patten (who got the voting records from Howard DeVore) Campbell for 27 votes from the 62 cast, more than double the tally of the second-place finisher.
