World Fantasy Convention III was held in 1977 at the Los Angeles Biltmore in Los Angeles. The GoH was Richard Matheson. The theme was "Clark Ashton Smith", the toastmaster was Gahan Wilson and it was chaired by Dennis Rickard. It drew about 400 people, lower than expected because of poor local publicity.
