Tim Daniels was a fan orginally from Baltimore and then Brooklyn who found fandom in 1970 and founded the Amber Society at Balticon 9 in 1975. In 1977 he married fan and writer Gillian Fitzgerald in a church, but they also held an Amber wedding at SunCon, the 1977 Worldcon.

He was a member of BSFS and the SCA and published the fanzine Kolvir.

Outside of fandom he was dedicated to the pursuit of peace in Northern Ireland.
