T-shirts printed with stfnal themes, convention logos or club insignias are probably the most popular fannish fashion, especially for wearing at cons. Most conventions offer souvenir t-shirts for sale in the huckster's room.

Members of NESFA have been known to coordinate so that they all wear the same shirt on the same day. Sometimes incidents in fanhistory have inspired t-shirts, such as the mid-1980s shirts proudly emblazoned, "Resident of the Wimpy Zone" with a map depicting the Midwest on the front and, on the back, a picture of the "Popeye" character Wimpy saying, "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a Worldcon today.

Hucksters selling to fans must carry a broader range of sizes than most mundane vendors, especially at the higher range: 3X is widely known as "fannish medium."
