Born Nancy Share and often called Nan, Nancy Rapp entered fandom in the 1940s, writing and drawing for fanzines. She sometimes signed her illos Kabu. She invented the fannish ghod Ignatz.

She was nicknamedSweet Unspoiled Miss Nanshare” by Lee Jacobs, while Dick Eney called her a “rosy-cheeked flower of Pennsylvania girlhood.”

Her sister, Marie-Louise Share, was also a fan. Nancy married fan Art Rapp in 1961, and they moved to Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. She taught her son to stick out his tongue and go "pfft!" when the N3F was mentioned.
