From Fancyclopedia 2, ca. 1959
("my-ob") Initialese for "Mind Your Own Business". Used by the anarchic Gands in Eric Frank Russell's "...And Then There Were None." Adopted generally in fandom, especially by avoidists (who named their projected APA MYOB) for a few years in the early 50s.

Russell’s story first appeared in the June 1951 Astounding.
