The 72nd Worldcon and fifth in England, Loncon 3 (also known as LondonThingy), was held August 14–18, 2014, at the ExCeL London. The GoHs were Iain M. Banks (who died before the event), John Clute, Malcolm Edwards, Chris Foss, Jeanne Gomoll, Robin Hobb, and Bryan Talbot. The Co-Chairmen were Steve Cooper and Alice Lawson.

Bidders: London in 2014 was the only bidder in the 2014 Worldcon Site Selection.

Loncon 3 conducted the 2016 Worldcon Site Selection, which was won by Kansas City 2016.
