John Douglas is a fan and retired professional editor who was born in Canada, but has lived in New York for many years and is married to fellow fan Ginjer Buchanan. He was an early member of OSFiC.

For many years he was on the board of the World Fantasy Convention. He edited Science Fiction Chronicle for a few years after Andy Porter.
